The N22 series Earth fault relays from PROTIME monitors the current flowing through the Earth circuit through secondary of C. T which is in the earth path or all phase CT’s are connected parallel and connected to relay signal input. If Neutral is also available in circuit, a neutral CT also connected parallel. When current signal goes out of the range selected on the dial , the relay status will change . The relays are provided with time delays . For earth fault protection of alternator the C. T. Is connected between Alternator neutral & ground. The N22 relay has two selectable setting range for tripping. Also relay has wide auxiliary power supply range from 90 to 270V AC/DC.The PROTIME EFR96-1/i senses Earth fault current for any equipment like L.T Panels Switch boards, Generators, Motors, Transformers, etc. The Fault current if goes above the selected range on the current dial, the relay energises after the time delay selected on the Time dial. The CT is to be connected externally as per diagram. The EFR96 series relay has an added advantage of fault current status indication on front by LED's. The LED's will glow when 'STATUS' button is pressed. The 'Test' button provides facility to stimulate the fault condition & thus checks the system tripping. The 'Reset' button provides manually resetting the relay. When link between A/M terminals is connected. Auto/ Manual Reset: MANUAL RESET: Connect link between Auto/Man terminals. AUTOMATIC RESET: Open the link between Auto/Man terminals. For more technical data please refer BROCHURE section (DS EFR96)
